#functional
- Illiteracy — The condition or characteristic of a person or a population of not knowing how to read and write; illiteracy. It represents a major social and economic indicator used globally to measure the level of development and access to education within a region. In modern society, the term has structurally expanded to define adaptation deficiencies in complex fields, such as functional, digital, or scientific illiteracy.
- Alkyl — An obsolete technical term or rare spelling variant for the alkyl chemical radical; a monovalent, saturated, monatomic functional group derived formally from an alkane by removing one hydrogen atom (having the general formula CnH2n+1). It plays a fundamental role in the synthesis of organic compounds and in defining complex molecular structures.
- Trained — Having undergone the process of training; a person, animal, or system methodically optimized to perform physical or intellectual tasks with a high degree of efficiency. In a behavioral sense, it describes an experienced individual in excellent biological shape, and figuratively it denotes an element drawn, actively involved, or inevitably carried by the course of external events.
- Apexocardiogram — A graphic tracing recorded with a special apparatus (apexocardiograph) that registers low-frequency vibrations and mechanical displacements of the chest wall caused by the movements of the cardiac apex (heart tip) during the cardiac cycle. It is a historical non-invasive method for evaluating left ventricular function.
- Applicative — Serving for the practical application of theoretical knowledge; characterized by direct utility, functionality, and a pragmatic orientation. In computer science and technology, it describes a program, software system, or digital architecture structurally designed to execute specific tasks requested directly by the end-user.
- Associationist — A person who adheres to the principles of associationism or who promotes this doctrine in the study of the human mind; as an adjective, it describes a theoretical system, a method of analysis, a school of thought, or a psychological hypothesis directly based on the laws of the association of ideas.
- Stunned — Having undergone the process of stunning; an animal rendered unconscious, deeply numb, or temporarily insensible through technical methods prior to slaughter; in a figurative sense, it describes a person who is completely dazed, bewildered, stunned, or in a state of severe drowsiness due to an emotional or physical shock.
- Sprinkling (adj.) — Serving to sprinkle or functioning through the medium of fine spraying and splashing of a liquid; a device, mechanism, or hydraulic system structurally designed to distribute water in the form of artificial raindrops over a given area.
- Roughened — Having been made or having become rough, rugged, dry, or lacking smoothness; in a figurative sense, it describes a situation, a regulation, a tone of voice, or a punishment that has become much more severe, rigid, restrictive, or harder to tolerate.
- Attributed — An alternative, archaic, or regional form (sometimes considered a non-standard variant) of the word 'atribuit'; having been assigned, granted, conferred, or recognized as belonging to a person, object, or entity. It represents the state of a right, quality, or specific value that has been placed under someone's ownership or responsibility through an act of will, critical analysis, or administrative process.
- Autonephrectomy — A destructive pathological process through which a kidney completely loses its excretory function and undergoes massive atrophy, transforming into a fibrous, calcified, or cystic mass due to a severe chronic condition (such as renal tuberculosis, prolonged ureteral obstruction, or untreated nephrolithiasis). This phenomenon represents a spontaneous functional elimination of the organ, achieved by the body without surgical excision.
- Nitrosyl — A monovalent chemical radical consisting of a nitrogen atom bonded to an oxygen atom (-NO), known in modern nomenclature as the nitrosyl radical; it represents an active functional group in the synthesis of organo-nitrogen compounds and in the study of redox reactions.
