#filling
- Adiastolia — A severe pathological condition characterized by the marked reduction, impedance, or near-complete absence of the ventricular distension and filling phase (diastole) of the heart during the cardiac cycle. This structural clinical phenomenon is most frequently caused by rigid external compression, as seen in constrictive pericarditis, cardiac tamponade, or advanced myocardial fibrosis, preventing the heart from receiving an optimal blood volume and leading to circulatory failure.
- Amalgam — An alloy formed by combining mercury with another metal (such as gold, silver, zinc, or tin), historically used in extractive metallurgy and dentistry for fillings; (figuratively) a confused, heterogeneous, and mismatched mixture of different elements, ideas, or feelings.
- Sealing — The act of astuparea and its result; the mechanical, industrial, biological, or household process through which the closing, covering, blocking, or insulating of a pit, container, pipe, or opening is achieved. In a technical or surgical context, it defines the operation of sealing a structural orifice to prevent fluid leaks or external contamination.
- Plug — The place where something has been plugged or the material (soil, clay, mortar, stopper, rags) with which an opening, pit, crack, or channel is sealed. In a technical or construction context, it represents the portion repaired, sealed, or filled to correct a structural defect or to block the ingress of air or water.
