International Dictionary of Criminology and Statutory Jurisprudence
- Illegal — Opposing the law, the legal order, or the structural statutes in force; violating a legal provision or countering the constitutional spirit of a state. In a structural sense, it describes an action, an administrative measure, or an illicit behavior that stands outside the normative framework regulated by authorities.
- Voidable — Capable of being annulled or voided; a legal act or contract affected by a vice of consent or non-compliance with a private order legal norm, which remains valid and produces its effects until a court of law pronounces its avoidance (relative nullity).
- Ascendants — Persons from whom another is directly descended by birth, representing the previous generations of a family (parents, grandparents, great-grandparents); ancestors or forebears. In civil and inheritance law, they are classified into privileged ascendants (parents) and ordinary ascendants (grandparents, great-grandparents), having specific legal rights to the deceased's estate.
