Amphilochus
Definition
A mythological Greek hero and seer, the son of Amphiaraus and Eriphyle, who participated in the expedition of the Epigoni against Thebes and the Trojan War. Inheriting the gift of prophecy from his father, he is considered the legendary founder of Amphilochian Argos and the oracle at Mallus (Cilicia), being worshiped as a healing hero in antiquity.
