Alkalimetry
Definition
A method of quantitative volumetric analysis that consists of determining the concentration of a base or the amount of free alkaline substance in a solution by progressive titration with an acid solution of known concentration (standard acid). The process uses acid-base indicators or potentiometric methods to highlight the chemical equivalence point where neutralization is complete.
