Adjuvancy
Definition
The property, quality, or mode of action of a therapeutic factor or substance to assist, support, or intensify the effect of a primary treatment. In clinical oncology, the term describes the strategy of administering secondary systemic therapies (chemotherapy, radiotherapy, hormone therapy) after the complete surgical removal of the primary tumor.
