#technical glass
- Achromatized — Having undergone the process of achromatization; an optical system, objective, or lens assembly color-corrected to prevent light dispersion and the formation of parasitic colored fringes. In a technical sense, it describes the final state of a precision device whose sphero-chromatic aberrations have been minimized according to industrial standards.
- Smoked — Having undergone the process of smoking for preservation or to obtain a specific flavor; an object or surface blackened or covered with a thin layer of soot due to exposure to smoke. In a culinary sense, it also describes a dish burnt during cooking, and in colloquial speech, it can indicate a person under the influence of alcohol.
- Fine-tuned — Having undergone the process of fine-tuning or structural adaptation; a system, structural assembly, or element that is geometrically or phonetically calibrated and finished. In an experimental sense, it describes the state of an object whose components have been finely adjusted to eliminate positioning errors or form discrepancies within an assembly.
- Marinized — Having undergone a complete process of marinization; a land system, industrial engine, aircraft, or electronic circuit structurally modified and chemically treated to operate optimally in harsh maritime environments.
- Tribrach — A mechanical leveling and centering base fitted with footscrews, used in surveying and geodesy as a structural support to mount optical instruments onto a tripod. It ensures horizontal structural stability and allows micro-alignment over a point.
- Deep-drawn — Having undergone the technological process of deep drawing; sheet metal or a metal blank processed through plastic deformation using a press and a die to acquire a hollow or profiled shape. In an industrial sense, it describes the final state of rigid structural components highly resistant to mechanical stress, widely used in the production of car bodies, metal packaging, and household appliances.
- Rough-filed — Having undergone the process of amilduire; a material, object, or surface that has been roughly smoothed, filed, or ground down with coarse tools to remove prominent irregularities. Contextually, it applies to wood, metal, or stone elements in a preliminary stage of finishing.
- Fire-retardant — Intended for preventing the outbreak, propagation, or extinguishing of fires; protecting materials or structures against the destructive action of fire. In a technical and industrial sense, it describes fire retardants, chemical surface treatments, or active devices designed to limit the destructive effects of uncontrolled combustion.
- Reclaimed — Having undergone the process of drainage or sanitation; a plot of land, lake, or environment freed from excess stagnant water, cleared of impurities, decontaminated, or transformed into a healthy, safe, and usable space. Figuratively, it describes a system (economic, social, or moral) purified from harmful, corrupt, or unproductive elements.
- Asbestos — An older spelling form, lexical variant, or neologism used for 'azbest' (asbestos), designating a group of naturally occurring silicate minerals with a fibrous structure, remarkable for their extreme resistance to high temperatures, fire, acids, and mechanical traction. In the past, due to its excellent structural insulating qualities, it was widely used in the construction and protective equipment industries, being subsequently restricted due to the high toxicity of its fibers upon inhalation.
