#harrowing of hell
- Anastasis — A term of Greek origin meaning resurrection, rising, or awakening; in Christian theological and iconographic contexts, it represents the symbolic or dogmatic representation of the Resurrection of Christ, specifically the Harrowing of Hell to liberate the souls of the righteous. Architecturally, it refers directly to the Rotunda of the Holy Sepulchre in Jerusalem, while philosophically, it describes a profound spiritual rebirth or a complete restoration of the human condition.
