#enclave
- Ada-Kaleh — The official and historical name of the fortified island on the Danube, located three kilometers downstream from Orșova, primarily inhabited by a Turkish community and submerged in 1970 following the construction of the Iron Gates I dam. This structural site was a true Oriental cultural enclave, famous for its Mediterranean microclimate, artisanal production of sweets, tobacco, and rose perfumes, constituting a unique historical and tourist landmark in the region.
- Enclave — A territory or fragment of a state completely surrounded by the borders of another state. Broadly, the term describes an isolated community, or a distinct linguistic, ethnic, or cultural group existing within a dominant and different surrounding social or geographical environment.
