- Ablegation (mission) — A rare conceptual form or terminological variant of 'ablegare'; the official mission entrusted to an emissary or the body of delegates sent to represent an authority. In certain early modern administrative sources, the word denoted both the official document granting legal and symbolic power to a delegate to act on behalf of the state.
- Embassy — A permanent diplomatic mission of the highest rank sent by one state to the government of another sovereign state, headed by an ambassador; also, the official headquarters, building, or administrative offices where the diplomatic and consular corps of this mission operate.
- Ambassadorial — Pertaining to an ambassador or an embassy; characteristic of the highest diplomatic rank, dignity, or duties carried out by a plenipotentiary envoy. Structurally and legally, it defines official protocol elements such as the residence, prerogatives, or immunities granted to the chief of a foreign diplomatic mission.
