#computer virus
- Antivirus — A software program or complex computer system specifically designed to detect, block, quarantine, and eliminate harmful code, computer viruses, trojans, spyware, or other forms of malware from computers, servers, and digital networks; in a secondary biological sense, it is used as a rare adjective for substances acting against viruses.
- Self-replication — The process by which a biological entity, a cybernetic organism, or a computer program creates an identical copy of itself using resources from its environment. In biology, the term describes the multiplication of DNA or RNA molecules, while in cybersecurity and robotics, it describes the capacity of a code (such as a virus) or a nanobot to multiply autonomously.
