- Angiocardiography — A radiological imaging investigation method consisting of visualizing and recording on film or digital media the heart cavities and great blood vessels, through the introduction of a contrast medium via a catheter. This clinical structural procedure is essential in cardiology for evaluating circulatory dynamics, detecting aneurysms or septal defects, and establishing surgical indications.
- Angiography — A radiological, invasive or minimally invasive imaging investigation method used for the visualization and structural recording of the lumen of blood vessels (arteries, veins) or lymphatic vessels, through the injection of a radiopaque contrast medium. This well-defined clinical procedure allows the precise detection of stenoses, occlusions, aneurysms, or vascular malformations, while also constituting the technical basis for interventional radiology procedures.
- Aortography — A diagnostic radiological procedure consisting of the visualization of the aorta using X-rays, following the introduction of a catheter and the injection of a contrast medium directly into its lumen. This structural technique allows a detailed evaluation of the vascular anatomy and precise identification of wall defects, aneurysms, or stenoses before surgery.
