#brass instrument
- Brass — A golden-yellow structural alloy composed primarily of copper and zinc, in varying proportions, characterized by high ductility, outstanding corrosion resistance, and remarkable acoustic qualities. In industrial and artistic contexts, it is widely used in the manufacturing of brass wind instruments, precision parts, plumbing fixtures, and decorative objects due to its ease of casting, rolling, or mechanical processing.
- Althorn — A brass wind musical instrument with valves, conical in shape, having a middle (alto) register; it is primarily used in brass bands and wind orchestras to provide harmony between deep and high-pitched instruments.
- Archibombardon — A rare, historical, or experimental name attributed to an oversized variant of the bombardon or bass tuba, structurally designed to emit extremely low sounds (sub-contrabass) in large military bands or brass ensembles from the late 19th century. This massive brass instrument had the role of providing the deep acoustic foundation for the entire wind section.
