• Atridae — A collective name used to designate the Atridae, specifically the descendants of King Atreus of Mycenae, the most famous being the brothers Agamemnon and Menelaus, prominent leaders in the Trojan War. In a literary and structural sense, the term evokes an entire tragic lineage in Greek mythology, marked by hereditary curses, revenge killings, and deep dynastic conflicts reflected in the great ancient tragedies.
• Atrides — The standardized Romanian form for 'Atridae', designating the famous descendants of King Atreus of Mycenae. At the center of Homeric legends, these structural rulers (Agamemnon and Menelaus) symbolize absolute monarchical authority in the Bronze Age, as well as vulnerability to an ancestral curse marked by tragedy.
