#arendator
- Lessor — A natural or legal person who leases an asset (especially agricultural land) to someone in exchange for a lease payment; the lessor in a lease agreement. Historically and in certain older legal contexts, the term was alternatively used for the person taking the estate on lease (lessee), although modern terminology clearly designates the provider of the asset for exploitation, playing an active structural role in land management and rural legal relations.
- Leasehold administration — An economic system, historical legal institution, or the complex profession and activity of managing leased agricultural estates; the office or central administration of a large-scale tenant farmer where accounting ledgers and peasant labor records were kept. In an institutional-structural sense, arendatoria represented the mechanism through which large boyar or monastic estates of the 18th and 19th centuries were commercially exploited via financial intermediaries.
