• Apocatastasis — A theological and eschatological doctrine, originally attributed to Origen, which asserts the ultimate and universal restoration of all conscious creatures to their initial state of divine perfection; the final reconciliation of the world with God, implying the ultimate salvation of all humans and even demons, thus rejecting the idea of eternal damnation. In a general philosophical sense, it represents the periodic return of the cosmos to its primordial pure state.
