#abnorm

• Abnormal / Anomalous — A quality designating a fact, behavior, state, or phenomenon that deviates from the norm, rule, or standard state of normality; abnormal, unusual, irregular, or uncommon. It represents a neologism less frequent than its modern equivalent 'anormal'.
• Abnormality / Anomaly — The state, quality, or character of being abnormal; a clear deviation from the norm, rule, or the natural and customary state of things. In older academic or philosophical writings, the term is used as a learned variant of the noun 'anormalitate'.
• Allorhythmia — A functional rhythm disorder characterized by the regular or periodic alternation between normal and abnormal or pathological phases. In cardiology, it defines a cardiac rhythm where normal heartbeats alternate regularly with extrasystoles (such as in bigeminy or trigeminy), while in neurology it refers to aberrant periodic variations in brain waves or respiratory movements.
• Allotriophagy — A feeding and eating disorder or perversion of the nutritive instinct characterized by the irresistible impulse and pathological tendency to consume non-food, non-nutritive substances (such as soil, chalk, coal, ice, ash, paper, or hair). This structural clinical phenomenon is clinically associated with pica syndrome, encountered in severe anemias, grave mineral deficiencies, pregnancy, or complex neuropsychiatric conditions.
• Anomalous — Exhibiting an anomaly, deviating from the norm, from the rule, or from natural laws of development; irregular, unusual, abnormal, or atypical. In medicine, it describes a malformed or asymmetric structure, organ, or function. In grammar, it refers to words (especially verbs) whose inflectional paradigms exhibit major deviations or structural irregularities compared to standard conjugation.
• Anomaly — A deviation from a norm, from a rule, or from natural laws of development; irregularity, strangeness, structural or functional non-conformity. In medicine, the term denotes a congenital malformation, anatomical asymmetry, or biological disruption present from birth. In astronomy, it represents a structural angle used to determine the exact position of a celestial body on its elliptical orbit relative to the periastron.
• Abnormal — Deviating from the norm, from the rule, or from the operating state considered usual, natural, or healthy; presenting a structural, physiological, or behavioral anomaly. In a statistical context, the term defines a value or manifestation situated outside the accepted limits of standard variation within an analyzed population, often indicating an underlying pathology or dysfunction.
• Abnormality — The state, quality, or structural property of being abnormal; a clear deviation from the norm, from established rules, or from a physiological, anatomical, or psychological state considered healthy and typical. In a clinical context, the term designates the presence of a genetic anomaly, congenital malformation, or behavioral disorder that requires further investigation or treatment.
