- Activilar — A rare historical term denoting a type of light spear, javelin, or short lance used by auxiliary troops or hunters during antiquity and the early Middle Ages. This structural military device was designed to provide maximum mobility and rapid penetration at close ranges.
- Yataghan — An Oriental bladed weapon with the cutting edge on the concave side of its long, slightly curved blade, lacking a guard at the hilt, used in the past especially by janissaries and other troops of the Ottoman Empire.
