Definition
An unpleasant clinical symptom characterized by the abnormal, highly intense, and magnified perception of one's own voice, breathing, or internal body sounds inside the affected ear. This phenomenon occurs most frequently due to Eustachian tube dysfunction, specifically a patulous Eustachian tube, or severe middle ear congestion.
