Autoparallel
Definition
Maintaining or transporting itself parallel to itself along a curve with respect to a given affine connection; a structural subvariety or geometric curve whose tangent vectors remain parallel under parallel transport along that trajectory. In spaces with torsion, autoparallel curves differ from geodesics (which minimize distance), defining straight lines from the perspective of the pure parallelism of the space-time connection.
