Antiflocculant
Definition
Preventing, blocking, or delaying the flocculation process (the aggregation of fine particles suspended in a liquid into gelatinous flakes); a chemical dispersing agent used to maintain the homogeneous stability of colloidal suspensions. Antiflocculant agents increase electrostatic repulsion to prevent premature sedimentation.
