Angiotripsy
Definition
A surgical procedure for achieving hemostasis consisting of the forced, mechanical, and well-defined crushing of the walls of a ruptured or severed blood vessel, using an angiotribe. This surgically induced pathological-structural process destroys the vessel's internal tunic (intima) and middle tunic, causing them to retract and promoting rapid blood coagulation inside the compressed lumen, effectively blocking hemorrhage without using suture threads.
