Aggressology
Definition
An emerging interdisciplinary branch of criminology and psychopathology dedicated to the systematic, scientific, and experimental study of the causes, biological, psychological, and social mechanisms driving violent behaviors, acts of aggression, and the personality profile of the aggressor. Unlike victimology, it focuses heavily on analyzing violence from the perpetrator's perspective.
