#suffocation causes
- Asphyxia — A severe pathological condition caused by a sudden decrease of oxygen in the blood and the excessive accumulation of carbon dioxide in the body, manifested by the suspension of respiratory function and suffocation. This structural-physiological phenomenon can be caused by external mechanical factors, such as strangulation, drowning, or the introduction of a foreign body into the airways, as well as by the inhalation of toxic gases, requiring immediate cardio-respiratory resuscitation measures.
