#structural grasses
- Agropyron — The scientific name (in Latin) for a genus of perennial herbaceous plants in the grass family (Poaceae), popularly known in Romanian as 'pir' (wheatgrass / couch grass). These plants are characterized by long, creeping, and branched rhizomes, possessing a huge capacity for adaptation and spreading; they are often considered difficult weeds to control in crops, but also valuable species for stabilizing sandy soils or as forage.
- Agrostography — A monographic, technical, and detailed description of the grasses and herbaceous plants of a specific geographical region, including details about their morphology, classification, and economic or ecological utility. The resulting agrostographic work serves as a historical and scientific reference document for botanists and agronomists.
