#stone cladding
- Slate — A fine-grained, homogeneous metamorphic rock formed by the low-grade metamorphism of shale or pelitic sedimentary rocks under tectonic pressure. Its fundamental structural characteristic is perfect cleavage (slaty cleavage), which allows it to split easily into thin, impermeable, and durable sheets, widely used in construction as a premium material for roofing, facade cladding, flooring, or, historically, for making writing slates.
