#spatial design definition

• Forecourt — An open area, esplanade, or transitional public space located immediately in front of a main square, a monumental building, or a major commercial hub. In urban planning, its structural role is to fluidize pedestrian traffic and create a spectacular visual perspective, while in a figurative economic sense, it can denote a preliminary stage or testing segment prior to an official open market launch.
