#self-definition

• Self-definition — The act of self-defining and its result; the conscious and autonomous process through which a person or a group formulates their own identity, establishing their essence, fundamental values, and role in society. This structural act of introspection and conceptual boundary-setting prevents the imposition of external labels and supports psychological individualization.
• Self-definition — A formulation, statement, or characterization through which a person or a collectivity autonomously defines their own essence, identity, values, or fundamental traits. This structural act of conceptual self-identification allows the subject to establish their own existential and ethical landmarks before the world, rejecting external attempts at classification or labeling.
