#self-copying
- To self-copy — To autonomously, automatically, or through internal mechanisms create a faithful copy or an exact replica of one's own structure, a document, or a dataset, without the direct intervention of an external factor. In biology, the term describes the molecular process of self-replication of genetic material, whereas in technology and computer science it refers to software systems or mechanical devices capable of cloning or multiplying their informational structure.
- Carbonless — Allowing the automatic creation of a copy on the underlying sheet at the moment of writing, due to a special chemical coating (ink microcapsules) applied to the surface of the paper, eliminating the need for traditional carbon paper. The term describes types of forms, receipt books, invoice books, or paper rolls frequently used in administrative, commercial, and typographical activities.
