#salvationists
- The Salvation Army — An international evangelical Christian denomination, an integral part of the universal Christian Church, and one of the largest charitable organizations in the world, founded in London in 1865 by William and Catherine Booth. Structurally organized on a quasi-military framework with uniforms, soldiers, and officers called salvationists, the movement bases its message on the Bible and operates globally to spread the faith and support vulnerable groups through day centers, soup kitchens, and shelters, without discrimination.
