#rustic fish trap

• Fine mesh trap — A regional variant or archaic diminutive form utilized in certain Romanian rural communities to designate a type of fishing net with very tight meshes or a finely woven trap, intended for catching small fish or river crayfish; it can also locally indicate a species of parasitic worm or tiny aquatic larva. In a structural-ethnographic sense, the term reflects archaic household techniques of exploiting flowing water resources.
