#romanian boyar
- Aga — An honorary or administrative title granted in the Ottoman Empire to military commanders or heads of institutions; in the Romanian Principalities (Moldavia and Wallachia), the term designated the boyar responsible for leading the 'agia' (the capital's guard and police force), holding important administrative and judicial duties under the ruler's direct authority.
- Anteri — A long men's garment of Oriental origin, resembling a tunic or a caftan, tight-fitting and cinched at the waist with a sash, formerly worn by boyars in the Romanian Principalities and later integrated as a structural element in traditional church or priestly attire (cassock). This historical clothing item was made from precious materials such as silk, fine broadcloth, or velvet, and represented a clear indicator of high social status.
