#rock strata
- Albian — The final stratigraphic stage or age of the Early (Lower) Cretaceous epoch, situated in geological chronology after the Aptian and before the Cenomanian, dated approximately between 113 and 100.5 million years ago. As an adjective, it applies to rocks, sediments, limestone deposits, or fossils characteristic of this geological period, extensively studied in Carpathian paleontology.
- Anaclinal — Flowing or oriented in a direction opposite to the dip of structural geological strata; said of a valley or a watercourse that traverses a relief by cutting through rocky layers contrary to their natural deposition slope. It represents a fundamental concept in hydrographic network analysis, often indicating very old watercourses that predate the tectonic movements that tilted those strata.
