Also, in an Orthodox ecclesiastical context (via Neo-Greek or Slavic influence), the term is sometimes used popularly or incorrectly to designate the 'analog' (analoghion), which is that tall, narrow lectern with an inclined top located in a church, used for placing liturgical books, the Gospel, or icons to be read or venerated by the faithful.
