#red berries
- Red baneberry — Scientific name for a species of poisonous, herbaceous perennial plant in the Ranunculaceae family, widespread across North America and some boreal regions. Unlike its white-berried relative, Actaea rubra is structurally characterized by clusters of bright, glossy red spherical berries (rarely white in specific varieties), carried on slender pedicels. All parts of the plant are highly toxic, affecting the nervous and muscular systems.
- Aechmea miniata — A species of perennial epiphytic plant in the family Bromeliaceae, native to the humid tropical forests of Brazil, remarkable for its glossy deep-green leaves, often tinged with purple on the underside of the blade. It develops an erect, paniculate inflorescence composed of a bright red scape bearing globose red berries of a minium (red lead) hue and small flowers with blue or translucent petals.
