- Chancellery archivist — An official archaic term of Ottoman origin, historically used in the chancelleries of the Romanian Principalities to designate the archivist, secretary, or administrative official responsible for registering, preserving, and managing the magzar or magzars (collective petitions, counter-signed deeds, or official minutes signed by boyars or local communities). In an institutional-structural sense, the argimagzariu ensured the legality and preservation of protest documents or petitions submitted to the Divan or directly to the Porte.
