#profiteering

• Profiteering — A practice or mentality oriented exclusively toward obtaining quick and substantial profits, often by exploiting economic situations, utilizing methods on the verge of legality, or completely neglecting ethical and moral principles. In contemporary language, the term carries a distinctly pejorative connotation, denoting a unscrupulous chase for wealth rather than legitimate and honest commercial activity.
