• Algor — An intense sensation of cold, severe chills, or extreme coldness of the body accompanying the sudden onset of fevers or vascular collapse. In forensic medicine and pathology, the term is also used inside the phrase 'algor mortis' to describe the natural postmortem cooling of the body.
