#plinth
- Acropodium — The distal anatomical region of the upper or lower limb in vertebrates, comprising the finger or toe bones (phalanges) and their associated musculo-tendinous structures, representing the terminal segment for support or manipulation (the hand or foot proper, excluding the metapodium and basipodium). In archaeology and art history, the term designates a high pedestal, a structural base, or an ornate plinth upon which a statue or monumental column is placed.
- Sub-plinth — A prominent structural or decorative architectural element located at the lower section of a building, beneath the main plinth, designed to absorb initial mechanical loads and protect the structure from ground moisture. In classical design, it serves as a visual transitional platform.
