• Astroblast — An undifferentiated embryonic cell derived from the neuroectoderm, which constitutes the direct precursor stage in the development of astrocytes (glial cells with a supporting and nutritional role in the central nervous system). In the context of oncological pathology, the term is closely related to astroblastoma, a rare brain tumor characterized by the abnormal proliferation of these primitive cells in nervous tissue.
