#negative play

• Negative play — A tactical strategy, sporting behavior, or mode of action whereby a team or competitor intentionally aims to disrupt, fragment, or block the construction of the opponent's play, without attempting to create their own attacking phases. In a structural sense, it manifests through repeated time-wasting, frequent tactical fouls, and maintaining an ultra-crowded defense.
