#mud
- Alcazar — The name given to fortified palaces or castles in Spain, built during the Moorish rule (8th–15th centuries) or erected later in the Mudejar or Gothic style on the sites of old Arabic fortresses. These monumental edifices combine defensive military architecture with highly refined interior decorative details of Oriental style (such as those in Seville, Toledo, or Segovia).
- Guard — An object, part, device, or accessory specially designed to protect a person, mechanism, or surface against impacts, dirt, accidents, or wear. In sports, it defines the rigid or semi-rigid element worn by athletes to protect their shins or other joints, while in mechanics it represents the casing that prevents the projection of debris or accidental contact with moving parts.
- Argillite — A compact argillaceous sedimentary rock, structurally formed through the diagenesis and deep cementation of clay muds, characterized by a higher hardness than simple clay and by the absence of fissility or the ability to split into thin sheets (unlike clay shales). In a geological sense, argillite represents an intermediate stage of metamorphism between soft pelitic sedimentary rocks and crystalline clay shales.
- Argillolite — A consolidated argillaceous sedimentary rock, structurally formed through the cementation, compaction, and deep dehydration of fine pelitic deposits (clay muds); a fine argillaceous sandstone or mudstone rock. In a geological sense, argilolitul is characterized by a massive texture, compact mass, and the absence of obvious fissility, representing a stable lithostratigraphic unit used in sedimentary basin analysis.
- Grease heel — A contagious dermatological and inflammatory affection affecting the legs of domestic animals (especially horses and sheep), usually located in the region of the hoof crown or the fetlock; the disease manifests through wet eczema, rough crusts, painful skin cracks, and hair loss, being caused by poor stable hygiene and prolonged structural humidity.
- Fenders — A rare, regional, or slang plural form derived from the noun 'aripă' or a neologistic root; used figuratively to denote large, prominent wings, side body panels (fenders/mudguards on old vehicles), or, in colloquial language, large arms, hands, or palms. It can also identify micro-structural components or prominent accessories within specific rural crafts.
- Small muddy puddle — An extremely rare regional term designating a small puddle, a marshy spot, a swampy hole with stagnant water, or mud formed after heavy rains; secondarily, a staved wooden vessel or an affectionate feminine address term.
- Băile 1 Mai — A balneoclimateric resort-locality in the Sânmartin commune, Bihor county, Romania, situated in the historical region of Crișana, near Oradea. It is internationally recognized for its geothermal mineral waters (30-35°C) used in treating rheumatic and neurological disorders, for its sapropelic mud, as well as for the Peța Creek Nature Reserve, where the unique aquatic thermal water lily 'Nymphaea lotus var. thermalis' grows.
- Small puddle — A regional and archaic form used to designate a small puddle, a muddy pool of stagnant water usually formed after a heavy rain, or a small marshy place. Structurally, in certain popular dialects in the south of the country, the term also functions as a variant or empirically derived form for the repeated action of splashing and agitating water.
