#mount helicon
- Aganippe — A mythological spring located on Mount Helicon in Boeotia, Ancient Greece, consecrated to the Muses and considered a sacred source of poetic inspiration for those who drank from it; by extension, a water nymph (naiad) who patroned this spring, daughter of the river-god Permessos. Structurally, the term is used in classical literature as a metaphor for the act of artistic creation and the purity of divine inspiration.
