• Abjection — A state of extreme moral degradation, baseness, or vileness that provokes repulsion and contempt. In a philosophical and psychological sense, the term denotes either an act or behavior that flagrantly violates the norms of human dignity, or the feeling of total self-depreciation and humiliation experienced by an individual facing their own social or moral decline.
• To brutalize — To cause someone to lose their intellectual faculties, sensitivity, or moral dignity, degrading them toward an animalistic state; (reflexive) to become stupid, brutalized, insensitive, or morally degraded due to alcoholism, exhausting labor, or a harmful social environment.
