#modeling
- Abelian — A structural mathematical term transposed into neuro-cybernetics and artificial neural network modeling, defining a symmetric operation or structure where the order of components does not change the final result (commutativity). In physiological modeling and neuropsychology, abelian groups or networks are utilized to simulate parallel symmetric processing of sensory stimuli or to map automatic synaptic circuits in the brain where signal synchronization does not depend on the strict sequence of incoming inputs.
- Actuarial science — The science, profession, or institutional department dealing with the application of mathematical and statistical methods to assess risks in the insurance, pension, and finance industries. This structural field analyzes complex demographic and economic models to ensure long-term solvency of companies against uncertain future events.
- Dimensionless — Having no physical dimension, or whose fundamental units of measurement cancel each other out through ratio, being expressed as a pure number without an associated unit of measurement; in physics and mechanics, it describes a structural quantity (such as the Reynolds number or friction coefficient) obtained via dimensional analysis to simplify mathematical equations and allow scaled modeling of complex phenomena.
- Aerotopography — An applied branch of topography and geodesy dealing with performing topographic surveys, determining landforms, and drafting maps based on aerial photography (aerophotogrammetry) combined with complementary ground measurements. This structural method ensures the three-dimensional modeling of vast territories with increased efficiency compared to purely terrestrial methods.
- Agronometry — A method or applied discipline in agronomy that utilizes mathematical measurements, statistical models, and quantitative estimation techniques to evaluate soil productivity, calculate crop yields, and optimize resource allocation within an agricultural holding. It combines the analysis of physico-chemical data with the mathematical modeling of plant growth.
- Algorithmization — The act of algorithmizing and its result; the process of transposing, organizing, structuring, or reformulating a complex problem, industrial workflow, or theoretical reasoning into a series of logical, exact, and finite steps (algorithm). In computing, it represents a critical stage of modeling.
- Aneurysmal — Belonging to an aneurysm, referring to an aneurysm, or presenting the structural and clinical characteristics of a pathological arterial dilation. This specialized descriptive term is used to define the nature of a vascular pouch, changes in the wall of a blood vessel, or symptoms associated with an ectasia.
- Anthropoplasty — A rare or reconstructive surgical intervention consisting of the restoration, shaping, or grafting of degraded human tissues with the aim of restoring the normal shape, structure, and anatomical functionality of the human body. In a historical or theoretical sense, it defines plastic modeling or reparative surgery procedures applied strictly to homologous biological structures of a human nature.
