- Adipoid — Resembling fat or exhibiting physico-chemical properties similar to those of adipose tissue; in pathology, it describes a structural degeneration or cellular remodeling in which cytoplasmic compounds acquire an oily, fatty, or lipoproteic appearance, without being composed of pure lipids. The term defines a false-adipose morphological conformation.
