#lifelong learning
- Andragogy — The science and practice of adult education, focusing on teaching and learning strategies, methods, and principles specifically adapted to the needs, life experiences, and internal motivation of mature individuals. Unlike pedagogy, this structural process treats the adult learner as an autonomous, self-directed subject, oriented toward solving immediate practical problems and actively involved in their own continuous training.
- Cultural self-education — The conscious, autonomous, and continuous process through which a person broadens their horizon of knowledge, assimilates spiritual, aesthetic, or scientific values, and educates themselves without the mandatory assistance of a formal educational institution. This structural cultural self-education contributes to intellectual development and the refinement of personality.
- Self-development — The continuous, conscious, and multidimensional process of improving one's quality of life, professional skills, and state of mind through personal effort; a practical discipline that combines time management strategies, emotional intelligence, and self-education to achieve self-actualization.
- Autodidact — A person who acquires knowledge in a scientific, artistic, or technical field through their own efforts, direct reading, and individual study, without resorting to the systematic guidance of a teacher or formal educational courses.
- Autodidacticism — A philosophical current, doctrine, or educational practice grounded on the principle of self-education and self-instruction; a conscious tendency to acquire knowledge outside institutionalized school systems, considering individual cognitive effort as the ultimate source of intellectual emancipation.
- Self-documentation — The act of self-documenting and its result; an individual and autonomous process of gathering materials, data, and bibliographical evidence to clarify a subject, or an advanced function of a computer system to automatically generate its own technical user guides.
- Self-education — The act of self-educating and its result; a voluntary, conscious, and continuous process through which an individual assumes full control over shaping their own character, assimilating knowledge, and optimizing their own social behaviors.
- Self-educated — Having instructed, formed, or improved one's behavior and character through one's own conscious effort, without depending exclusively on teachers or formal educational institutions; an individual who has successfully undergone an autonomous process of self-formation.
- Self-improvement — The act of self-improving and its result; a voluntary and conscious process of self-education, development, and optimization of one's own intellectual, moral, or professional structures. In modern human resource management, it represents a highly valued key competency reflecting an employee's ability to autonomously manage their own evolution and adapt quickly to labor market shifts.
