#idioadaptation
- Allomorphosis — A direction or phase of the evolutionary process (allophorosis) characterized by the emergence of local morphological adaptations or structural changes specific to a certain living environment, without these determining an increase or decrease in the species' general level of biological organization. This structural adaptive mechanism allows organisms to colonize new ecological niches by reconfiguring pre-existing organs.
