#grizzled
- Grizzled — A regional term or rare chromatic contamination found in certain folk dialects to describe an object, animal, or surface of a dirty white, grizzled, or bluish-gray color, such as the fur of old animals or the metallic reflections of graying hair.
- Whitish — A regional or popular name used in certain dialects to describe an object, animal, or surface of a dirty white, pale, or washed-out gray color; grizzled or slightly whitish. In the traditional rural environment, the term was frequently applied to qualify the shade of the fur of sheep or horses that lost their color intensity with age.
