- Alcyone — The brightest star in the Pleiades cluster (Eta Tauri), located in the constellation of Taurus, named after one of the seven mythological daughters of Atlas and Pleione. In astrophysics, it represents a blue-white giant star with an extremely high rotational velocity, surrounded by a massive ejected gas disk.
- Alcyoneus — In Greek mythology, the eldest and most powerful of the Giants born to Gaia, famous for his immortality as long as he fought on his native soil. In astronomy, the name designates a recently discovered giant radio galaxy, considered one of the largest structures of galactic origin identified in the universe, spanning approximately 5 megaparsecs.
- Aldebaran — The brightest star in the constellation of Taurus (Alpha Tauri) and the fourteenth-brightest star in the night sky, located approximately 65 light-years from Earth. It is a red giant star, much cooler than the Sun, but with a diameter about 44 times larger, easily recognizable due to its distinct reddish-orange hue.
